Lets start with the star of the show, I am forever having people ask me for a large howard sofa and my reply is always that they are as rare as hens teeth. So here is one, at Lawrences Auctioneers of Crewkerne on the 14th of October. Expect to pay some big money for this sofa, a fair estimate would be £6000 but we have seen similar go for well in excess of £10,000.

It has obviously been badly restored at some point and will need a restorer who understands Howards. Height 87cm, width 200cm, depth 100cm. Sold for £5100+commission.

Next up is a few lots from Lyon & Turnbull on the 28th of Sept, firstly a sofa very similar to the one which sold in Essex on the 3rd of August which sold for £4700+Commision So you have a good guide for this one. Sold for £3400+commission.

Next is a small sofa perfect for a bedroom, I would expect to pay around £2000. Sold for £2000+commission.

Finally at Lyon and Turnbull is this very nice wingchair, nice legs. I would expect to pay around £2000 again. Sold for £440+commission. There are still some bargains out there and this was an absolute steal.

Woolley & Wallis in Salisbury have a few Lenygon and Morant items for sale on the 5th of October: Matching 2 and 3 seater concave fronted sofas, a similar armchair and a couple of footstools.

Their valuations for each item are probably not far out if slightly under.
